Moldova is a beautiful country with hospitable people, stunning nature, and the potential for development. We love our country and believe in its better future. We are ready to work for the benefit of this country, and our faith and calling are to stand up for children, adolescents, and youth, for those who have suffered from social injustice. The context of our work is not easy, but nevertheless, we see progress and want to be partners in the development of our little homeland - Moldova. Teenage Pregnancy. According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the teenage pregnancy rate in Moldova is one of the highest in Europe, with about 35 births per 1,000 girls aged 15-19 in 2021. Crime. Moldova has a relatively high rate of crime, including youth-related crime. In 2020, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported over 6,500 crimes committed by juveniles, with theft and vandalism being the most common offenses.

Alcoholism. Moldova has a high rate of alcohol consumption, with an estimated 15.2 liters of pure alcohol per capita in 2021, according to the World Health Organization. Alcohol abuse among youth and adolescents is a significant public health concern in the country.

Test Results. In the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) test, Moldovan students scored below the OECD average in reading, mathematics, and science. However, the country has made some progress in improving its scores since the previous assessment in 2015. Education. Moldova improved education access with 94.8% primary and 87.7% secondary enrollment in 2021. But, low student performance in standardized tests is still a concern for education quality. Our team. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of positive influence and work with Moldovan youth.
